Onanjath Brilliant instrumental metal Favorite track: Shapes.
Poesy Rider

Poesy Rider Un metal prog instrumental d'une grande puissance avec de très bons arrangements. C'est ce qui fait toute la différence avec de nombreux groupes qui se baignent dans le même bain. Chaudement recommandé. Favorite track: Shapes.

Proghead Contemplator has so much to offer. They balance progressive, metal and orchestral to create an interestingly tense journey that's both powerful and melodious.

Their music swims into so many awesome riffs with intriguing time signatures. Discover additional layers of awesomeness each time you put it on! Favorite track: Art of Nothing.
Deidre House

Nicky Byloo This is one of those albums that just keep giving. What I mean by that is that it is full of richness in layers of interesting musical expression. It’s not overly technical in the vein of showing off but it is well varied in keeping the music moving forward. It took some time to get used to the orchestral backing in some of the songs but in the end it really keeps things fresh and interesting and serves the music well. I love this album. It is the only Contemplator album I know but I'm glad to have learnt about this amazing band. It is not often one discovers bands going the instrumental prog route, but I'm glad when it happens as I'm extremely fussy about vocals and that's why I normally stay away from those types of bands, unless the vocal do not get in the way but serve the music more so, musically. I like the rock sentiment and it is a good balance between the metal and rock approach. It is well mixed and I enjoy the heavy driven aspects as they contrast with the more melodic and catchy parts. What an enjoyable, well balanced, album. It’s such a pleasure to listen to. Favorite track: Balance.

The infamous special thanks - here's to the people without whom this crazy musical expedition wouldn't have been possible, in no particular order:

Pierre Remillard for welcoming us at the Wild, offering his advice and expertise, and helping us settle in one of the most musically inspiring environments ever;

Jonathan Veillette for trusting us with his Les Paul AGAIN;

Alexis BC for the awesome studio session photography and video footage;

Vince Gagnon for being such a great help during the sessions;

Hemisphere Studio for providing additional guitar tracking and video mixing;

Jeff Ball for putting up with my stupid strings parts and nailing them like I hadn't thought was possible;

Chris Friel for graciously allowing us to use his unique photographic work for the album artwork.
